Want to see a band that at moofest this year who are just doing it for the fun of it? Well then you need to make sure you get the chance to see college buddies and best friends The Amigos. Expect their take on some well known songs that will have you all singing back before you know it. Lets meets The Amigos;

Who’s in the band and what do they play?

Mick Jones – singer Paul heckingbottom- trumpet and guitar

What inspired you to make music together?

We went to college together and are best mates, we enjoying gigging together.

How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together?

We only really do covers, music that gets people feeling good and dancing so we will play what every is big at the time and of course good old classics.

What did you have for breakfast this morning?

Nothing breakfast is for wimps.

What’s your favourite breakfast cereal?

Lucky charms

What’s the worst job you ever had?

Black pudding bender.

What would you do if you were invisible for a day?

Go to an all you can eat Chinese buffet and as people put food on their plates, knock it off on to the floor.

What’s your favourite ride at the fair?

Hook a duck

Have you ever milked a cow?

Yes a few times.

What’s your favourite cheese?

Love cheese all types, nothing better than a glass of port and a cheese board.

What’s your favourite sandwich?

Corn beef and onion (corn dog).

Did you have a nickname at school?

Jonesy and hecky

Have you ever written a fan letter?

Not to a musician but I wrote to jack walker.

What’s your most disgusting habit?

Picking my nose hairs,

If you were a domestic appliance what would it be?

We would be a toaster because we like to pop up every now and again.

What’s your favourite word?

Fantastic

Can you think of a good poem about moofest?

A lonely field will be filed up
When you dance and raise a cup.
Moofest is where the beer flows
And where you can dance with the Amigos

Tell us a joke?

Q: Why don’t cows ever have money?
A: Because farmers milk them dry.

What advice do you have for people who want to form their own bands?

Just go for it, if we can do it anyone can.

How can the moofesters get hold of your music?

We play mainly covers, so anywhere. We have a Facebook page.

Any last words?

We feel privileged to be a part of moofest where there will be lots of top musicians and bands on display. We will do what we do best, have fun and get you dancing.
