Celebrating the Horseman

Earlier this year we lost one of the greatest people around the local music scene and a general all round grand gent. Brett Hamer was taken to early from this place and I’m sure this is felt the hardest by his family and close friends.

At moofest we are pretty sure that Brett will be with us and he would definitely had been on that stage in different circumstances, playing his lancashire take on Americana. If you are at moofest please join in a celebration of Brett’s life at approximately 16:00 on the main stage.

To celebrate Brett’s music, before The Slydes take to the stage on 9th July 2016 we will be playing four of Brett’s own tracks. We were lucky enough to have Brett play twice at moofest 2015, once with his band The Loom and also a solo artist. So to celebrate a sorely missed friend of many, make sure you about at 4pm to hear the full beauty of the music Brett has left behind for us all to enjoy – sleep well Horseman x
