Moofest Burning Northerners Twenty At A Time – A New Line (Related)
Tonight for your reading pleasure we have caught up with Andrew Johnson otherwise known as A New Line (Related). A man who has been around the business for a while in various outfits such as Hood, Remote Viewer, On Fell and Famous Boyfriend, lets see what he has to say;
Who’s in the band and what do they play?
My name is Andrew and I play my sons IPad.
What inspired you to make music?
I started playing the drums, I’m not sure why. Possibly because of Frankie goes to hollywood. I wanted to be in a band possibly because of McCarthy I wanted to release records probably because of John Peel.
How has your music evolved since you first began?
Oh. I’d like to think I’ve been consistently average for 25 years. My voice has become a *touch* less camp. I suppose I’ve gone less pop and more terrible repetition.
What did you have for breakfast this morning?
Misery on toast.
What’s your favourite breakfast cereal?
Crunchy nut weight gain.
What’s the worst job you ever had?
Work is a four letter word.
What would you do if you were invisible for a day?
Oh something sexy. Sexy stuff. All naked and invisible and that.
What’s your favourite ride at the fair?
I do actually enjoy a medium sized rollercoaster. No next level shit. Not upside down in the dark.Just me, some wood and a metal bar against nature.
Have you ever milked a cow?
What’s your favourite cheese?
The dairylea slice.
What’s your favourite sandwich?
Dairylea slice special.
Did you have a nickname at school?
It was Mo. After ancient and possibly dead Scottish footballer Mo Johnston.
Have you ever written a fan letter?
Shit. Thousands. Any half decent band who stuck their home address on their record sleeve would get a letter and a self addressed envelope from me. That’s just how shit went down in the early 90s.
What’s your most disgusting habit?
Picking my son’s nose and eating it.
If you were a domestic appliance what would it be?
Its me and the hoover. For ever.
What’s your favourite word?
Can you think of a good poem about moofest?
Tell us a joke?
What time is Andy Murray meeting Sean Connery tomorrow
What advice do you have for people who want to form their own bands?
Never, ever have a band picture in which you hold your allocated musical instrument. Or in the drummer’s case your drumsticks.
How can the moofesters get hold of your music?
My entire life’s work is avaliable somewhere. Usually in a sale of some kind.
Any last words?
Please don’t throw bottles of piss at me. Or near me. Or near my wife and son.
