Guitar Fingers Gaz Bailey is Moofest’s Soul Stranger

Moofest HQ caught up with Gaz Bailey after he had finished his Pizza and Coffee to find out a little more about him.

Who are you what do you play?
I’m Gaz Bailey, i’m an Acoustic Alternative Rock songwriter from Darwen

What inspired you to make music?
I remember listening to Beatles while I was a kid, and was blown away! also Oasis, Queen, Bob Dylan, and Elvis have been massive parts of influencing my music and style.

How has your music evolved since you first began playing?
I started off at about 17 in a band Called Misty Waters. I wrote my first songs, and went from lead to rhythm guitar. we got quite popular after a couple of years Doing Distorted Rock music. But split due to musical differences. I moved to Darwen at 23, settled in, Decided to pick up a guitar and write again, Started open mics and that led to some good oppurtunities With (Acoustic Rock Originals and Covers) with The Banned, and also as a solo Artist. As a songwriter you learn (at least for me) the Early songs you write are never going to touch the one’s you will be writing in 15 years time

What did you have for breakfast this morning?
Coffee and pizza

What’s your favourite breakfast cereal?
Don’t eat it lol, maybe Crunchy nut Cornflakes

What’s the worst job you ever had?
Probably every job i’ve ever had apart from being on stage,

What would you do if you were invisible for a day?
Enjoy the peace

What’s your favourite ride at the fair?
I’m in the middle somewhere, Nothing to boring or slow, not the one your likely to fall out of lmao, maybe the Ghost train or something

Have you ever milked a cow?
Once or twice lol

What’s your favourite cheese?
Chedder, everyone has to love a bit of Chedder

What’s your favourite sandwich?
Tuna

Did you have a nickname at school?
Yea, i had a list of them

Have you ever written a fan letter?
Dont think i have

What’s your most disgusting habit?
Trying to play bass and sing at the same time!, apart from that probably The pizza for breakfast thing, cornflakes are too boring by a long way

If you were a domestic appliance what would it be?
As a performer? A Kettle. Warm up the song slowly and then finish it Boiling over lol

What’s your favourite word?
Dedication

Can you think of a good poem about moofest?
Moofest is the place to be, brimming with talent, It’s a Real must see, Go jam with the cows and Have a top day out, July 2016 is what it’s all about

What advice do you have for people who want to form their own bands?
Try and find members you are compatable with, who share the dream and have the time to put all theere effort in

I still can’t get over Pizza and Coffee for breakfast, thanks to Gaz for taking time out to complete this for us.
